And here we go again - because of this man - just living

His life alone in this small town - - "yeah" - being our

Oasis - peaceful and most living here - - retired

In our great state of North Carolina

(Vs 2) This man don't talk much - mostly quiet and to

Himself - - always just a friendly hello - good day

Or just a gesture with weather - and goes on his

Way - - strange he may seem - with our town folks all around -

But with me - not strange at all - you know just let it go

This all brings - and don't judge a person or book

By it's cover - be friendly - stay passionate to everybody

You meet and yes curious that's o.k. - but only in a good way -

Look on both sides of a stranger - talk find out why to you him

Being strange - and to this kind and pleasant man - why he is -

The way he is - this stranger in our town

(Vs 3) but I took the time - and kind of kept him boxed in - just him

And I - and we talked of so many things - and come to find

Out - as we both sat on this bench relaxing in our small

Gathering spot - along our known walking trail "Sad" this

Gentleman once had family - but lost all

(Vs 4) from a single plane crash visiting his elderly parents - who

Have since than passed on - and all this happened while being

Away - as a traveling salesman - many years ago - my life

Destroyed at that moment - my family gone - and now being

Alone until two strangers came along - you and I and took me
